Anti-spam system

Grubit can due to this situation offer a tool developed for an effective response to these needs that are slowing the daily tasks.

The product has been developed with a Linux base, specifically Ubuntu 5.10 engine together with the spamassassin 3.1.7 tool. Included among their many advantages not require the hardware (PC) last generation, if not that, we will use Linux because of the structure, any hardware (PC) with minimum requirements:

• Pentium II or III 500 mhz 20 Gb HDD memory of 256 mb

The product ships by default with the latest version of the anti-spam database, and all updates and configuration of the automatic update On Line.

Operation

The task of anti-spam Spam assassin is to determine which emails are potentially SPAM and mark them as such as follows:

The header [SPAM] will appear in the Subject, and although the anti-spam product will never block items marked as [SPAM], the email client (Microsoft Outlook) will be configured with a rule to move all mail with [SPAM] in the subject to a folder created for that purpose. In this way, the user doesn't need to do anything to manage this folder, but can observe that no legitimate mail is treated as SPAM.

Effectiveness

Tests conducted on the effectiveness placed an average between 85% and 90% on an average volume of 300 emails a day. This figure is subject to constant changes in the structures of e-mail from unwanted advertising or SPAM.
